How many butterflies are exactly the same?
- Start with the blue butterfly in the middle, called Morpho Rhetenor Cacica-from Peru. The middle butterfly is the same as the 3 closest blue butterflies at 9, 12 and 3 o’clock. #23, #22, #40, #50
- A little further out at 9 and 3 o'clock are two blue butterflies that look the same as the Morpho Rhetenor Cacica and are from Peru, but are called Morpho Didius, #21 & #49. Notice the difference in wing shape.
- The two yellow butterflies, Phoebis Philea, #32 & #52, from Peru are identical.
- The two orange & black butterflies, #15 & #59, are identical Ornithoptera Croesus Lydius.
- The two yellow-bodied butterflies with deep blue wings, #39 & #16, are identical Ornithoptera Poseidon Urvillianus from Papua New Guinea.
- The top right corner butterfly, Urania Riphaeus from Madagascar, #19, is identical to #38.
- The Papilio Ulysses from Papua New Guinea at 3 o'clock, #17, is identical to #48 near the left corner.
- In the bottom right corner, #1, Papilio Xuthus from Hawaii, is identical to #2 to its left.
- At the middle bottom, #6 & #7, are identical Nymphalis Antiopa from Mexico.
- In the left corner, the 8 orange butterflies are 3 different species. #64, #65, #67 & #69 are Dryas Julia from Peru. #70, #68 & #66 are Appias Nero Zamboanga from the Philippines, and #62 is Appias Nero from Celebes Island.

- There are two Papilio Antenor next to each other near the bottom right, #3 is upperside and #4 is bottomside.
- At 3 o'clock, # 10 is the upperside and #11 is the underside of the Asterope Philotina Optima from Peru. #8 and #9 are the upperside and underside of Anaea Cyanea from Peru.
- Africa’s largest butterfly, #14 & #61, are the upperside and underside of the Papilio Antimachus.
- At the top right, #20 is the upperside and #37 is the underside of the Ornithoptera Priamus Poseidon from Papua New Guinea.
- On the left, the 5 butterflies are a mix of male and female and top & bottom. The only white butterfly, #57, is the male Delias Zebuda from Sulawesi Island, and its underside is #53. The female shown upperside is #56, and #55 & #54 are the Delias Splendida female upperside and underside.

- In the bottom right, #5, Papilio Antenor is the male with red tipped wings and its female is #3.
- At 3 o'clock, #11 & #13 are the underside of the male and female of the Asterope Philotina Optima. The male has more red. #10 & #12 are the upperside of the same, with the male having more blue.
- The white male butterfly, #57 & the female, #56, are Delias Zebuda from Sulawesi Island.
- #11 & #13 are male & female underside Asterope Philotina Optima from Peru. #10 & #12 are male and female of the same, upperside.
Of the 10 solid red butterflies, how many have the same name?
The top 3 on each side are Cymothoe Coccinata and the bottom 2 are Cymothoe Sangris with fewer black dots on the hindwings.
