Male and female together in one frame, each measures 7" wide x 4" tall. This species has more yellow and less green than the Supremus. Order this one along with the Goliath Supremus so you can tell Darwin's story of coloration and adaptation.
O. goliath is the world's second largest butterfly species. Flight is leisurely, but controlled and powerful. Males pursue their females for long distances, rising high over the forest canopy then folding their wings and diving down to tree level to mate, even though they risk hindwing damage by the sharp tarsal claws of females.
