If you can't climb 500 feet up the mountains in Papua New Guinea to see this beautiful creature, here's your only opportunity. In the Australian region, from Queensland to the Solomon Islands, this male butterfly differs dramatically from the all-brown female because it has blue and purple shades of iridescent color. The priamus has green wings, the urvillianus has blue, and the croesus has golden wings. Croesus has developed so differently that it is now recognized as a separate species. The female has none of the color seen in the male. If you order all three species, we can mount them in a single frame-just email us after you order.
Found on Bougaineville Island, North Solomons Province, Papua New Guinea.
Approximately 4" x 6" in an 8" x 8" frame. Looks great in a black frame.
